Sailing Across the Albemarle Sound:ICW Part 3

Today we got to sail across the Albemarle Sound. As soon as we came out of the channel, we both looked at each other and said, headsail? It was a nice downwind run of about 12nm and we crushed it. With Elysium's huge Genoa unfurled we were pushing upper 8's. This was the best part of the trip so far for these 2 sailors, generally open and clear water, the sail up, sun out and the wind at our back. We got a nice pic of a buddy boat, a beautiful ketch in the sun.
